The Black Ox is named after the expression ‘the black ox has trod on his foot’. In other words: disaster has struck, and in even more divergent idiom: the black ox (serialized television) has trod on (awakened) our feet (love for visual storytelling).
The internet is flashy enough as it is, that’s why I’ve opted for a quiet place, kind of like the eye of a digital hurricane. A stylish, calm black and white site, that not only offers news, but contemplative articles and reviews as well. All Ox posts are written by, well, me. Opinions are my own private musings, which makes the website more personal than you may be used to, but I believe that’s a good thing; there’s no such thing as objectivity, only the semblance of objectivity.
